Mahindra Thar’s four-wheel drive just got better! Two new colors are available for the SUV

Mahindra Thar is renowned as one of the better offroading SUVs in the Indian market. The company has introduced it with two new colors. With the new color option, the SUV will be available in a total of 6 colors. Apart from this, no other changes have been made to this SUV.

Mahindra & Mahindra launched the two-wheel drive variant of its popular off-roading vehicle, the Mahindra Thar, in the month of January this year. At that time, the SUV was introduced in two new colors Everest White and Blazing Bronze, besides a new transmission was introduced. Which includes Everest White, Blazing Bronze, Aqua Marine, Red Rage, Napoli Black, and Galaxy Grey. All these colors are also available in RWD variants. Mahindra Thar, which comes in two variants AX (O) and LX, comes with both a soft and hard top body. The lifestyle off-roading SUV is priced at Rs. 9.99 lakhs for the two-wheel drive variant and Rs. 13.59 lakh (ex-showroom) for the four-wheel drive variant.

The company has given two different engine options in Thar 4×4. It gets a 2.0-liter petrol engine that generates 150PS power and 320Nm torque. At the same time, a 2.2-liter diesel engine has been given in the diesel variant, which generates power of 130PS and torque of 300Nm. Both the engines come mated to 6-speed manual and automatic gearboxes.

Also that RWD comes with both petrol and diesel engine options. The company has given a diesel engine of 1.5 liters capacity in it. Which generates power of 118PS and torque of 300Nm. It has a 6-speed manual transmission gearbox. As a petrol engine, it gets the option of 2.0-liter turbo petrol, which is also found in the four-wheel drive variant.

In the Mahindra Thar, the company has provided features such as a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, cruise control, halogen headlights with LED DRLs, electrically controlled AC, and steering-mounted controls. It also has a washable interior floor and a detachable roof panel. In terms of safety, it gets dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, hill descent control, traction control, rear parking sensors and front seat belt reminder.
